Netbook Reflection

Using the netbook I have learnt how to upload a presentation to my blog.
The netbook helped me learn more about things I have studied about .I have learnt about different learning sites from my friends and teachers.I like to use maths whizz because it teaches you a variety of different strategies. I have learnt how to use the microphone on the netbook.I feel that we should continue to use our netbooks because it will help kids find more answers for their questions. We can use our netbooks to share our ideas with each other and upload things to our blog which our viewers  a global audience can view.

Long weekends

Long Weekend:

On Saturday,June,Joan and I went  kiwi yo in mission bay because it was a hot sunny day. We catched the bus to mission bay and walked to kiwi yo. Then we headed to the beach to have a play. June and Joan went to play in the water and were flicking the warm water on each other. I sat back on the sand Relaxed. I was standing where the water was and then they pushed me and I fell into the water.

After I fell into the water I got up and pushed both of them into the water. We went and played at the adventure playground. We Played on the slides and the monkey bars.We then went and caught the bus back to Glen Innes and went home.

On Monday I was playing rugby with my brothers at the back of my house. After we played rugby my Mum brought me my brothers and sisters  Ice-cream from the shops.Me and my brother then went to our room and played black ops 2 on our ps3.After that we went to the park and played basket ball.We got tired and went home and watched T.V, and layed down on the couches.

Dance Fever

Thursday 28 november.

We were partnered up with a girl to do our Foxtrot. We had to do a dancing frame. We found our own space to dance with our partner with. This dance was the easiest dance to learn because the moves are so easy then only hard thing was the quarter turn.

The next dance we did was our Cha Cha we brushed up on our moves. It gets harder when you do the dance all toghther I found it hard to keep up with it.

We then did our Hip Hop routine. We learnt to put all the moves in sync.We had to get in our cannon lines. We all had a turn at being the leader of the line.

Mighty Muscles

1.Think of three kinds of athletes - sprinters, weightlifters and gymnasts.
They all use muscles in different ways. How are they different? What do they need their muscles to do? Can you think of other sports in which athletes use their muscles in similar ways to these three kinds of athletes? When do you use your muscles in the way they use theirs? Answer: Sprinters use their calf muscles and their hamstring to run. Weightlifters use their triceps and biceps to lift things. Gymnasts use  all of their muscles in their body.

2.Now think of an activity that you do,for example, making a ham and lettuce sandwich.Mime all of the actions [taking the ham and lettuce out of the fridge picking up the knife, and so on]While your partner writes down the body parts and the muscles involved. How many muscles does it take to do this simple task.It takes 6 muscles to make a sandwhich.

3.Together,read through the card again.Take turns to explain how pairs of muscles work. How many pairs of muscles can you find in your body - for example, the ones you use to open and close your mouth. your  triceps and biceps help you lift things up and bend your arm.

New Zealand National Anthem

God of nations! at Thy feet

In the bonds of love we meet,

Hear our voices, we entreat,

God defend our Free Land.

Guard Pacific's triple star,

From the shafts of strife and war,

Make her praises heard afar,

God defend New Zealand

Men of ev'ry creed and race

Gather here before Thy face,

Asking Thee to bless this place,

God defend our Free Land.

From dissension, envy, hate,

And corruption guard our State,

Make our country good and great,

God defend New Zealand.

Peace, not war, shall be our boast,

But, should foes assail our coast,

Make us then a mighty host,

God defend our Free Land.

Lord of battles in thy might,

Put our enemies to flight,

Let our cause be just and right,

God defend New Zealand.

Let our love for Thee increase,

May Thy blessings never cease,

Give us plenty, give us peace,

God defend our Free Land.

From dishonour and from shame

Guard our country's spotless name

Crown her with immortal fame,

God defend New Zealand.

May our mountains ever be

Freedom's ramparts on the sea,

Make us faithful unto Thee,

God defend our Free Land.

Guide her in the nations' van,

Preaching love and truth to man,

Working out Thy Glorious plan,

God defend New Zealand.

The adventure of a lifetime

When we got to the Great Barrier Island we heard a splash coming from the ocean. It was just the waves.30 Minutes later a meteorite hit the sea 100 metres away from us.Fishies were landing on the bus we were in.

Malulu wanted to find the meteorite.
Malulu and I started our quest looking for the meteorite we headed towards the forest. The forest had heaps of narrow paths and steep hills. We had to jumped over a river. We got to a look out we saw were we had to go.

We slipped down the mountain. We continued walking. As we were walking we saw a wolf roaming around looking for something to eat.We saw the wolf trying to kill a bird.Malulu and me ran away as fast as we could run.We got to an abbandid cottage ther were zombies inside it.We thought that when the meteorite struck that some sort of diase came with it.The diase was contageous if a zombie bit you you will turn in to one in a blink of an eye.We saw the meteorite and swam to it.We got a massive rock and chucked it off a clif and it hit it and the metorite broke into heaps of pices. All the zombies turne into normal people again they didn’t have a clue wat happened.

One day a boy named Trevor started at his new school. When he went to his classroom people were teasing him. His teacher Mr.Bill told Mitch not to pay attention to the other people who were teasing him. After school Trevor thought that he would host a cool party. They were playing on the bouncy castles and didn’t ask Trevor to play. Trevor felt left out he went and sat under a big oak tree. Franklin saw Trevor sitting under the tree by himself and went to him. Pursuasive writing

Do you want to live in a filthy world? The problem today is that too many people aren't recycling and are consuming too many paper, plastic and glass products and not putting them in the right bin. we should recycle to keep the world clean. When we recycle plastic it is converted into new products.I believe that if we recycle the world won’t smell,so we can turn waste into valuable resources. So we can reduce the risk that our homes and habitats could be destroyed.

First of all we should recycle to keep the world clean. If we recycle it would help keep the air clean and it will also help keep the water fresh for people to drink.

Second of all we should recycle to reduce waste by turning those products into new resources.

Last of all we should recycle to reduce the risk that homes and habitats could be destroyed.

We need to recycle if we want the world to be clean and not smell. If we recycle it will also help keep the environment clean.
Recycling helps minimize pollution and helps save the environment.

If you recycle you are helping keep the world clean and are also helping minimize the amount of rubbish that is sent to the landfill.
