Today we had our final lesson in computer technology.We made collages.

Basket Boats

1. Where is the story set? IN a place called Qui Nhon

2. Who is the main character in the story? The main character is Thanh

3. What is the story about? The story is about basket boats.

4. What is a basket boat? What is its' proper name? It is called Thung Chai

5. What is a basket boat useful? To go fishing.

6. How is a thing chai made? It is made with bamboo sticks .

7. What is a thing chai handy? you can store it away easier than a normal boat.what are some of its' uses? You can go fishing. You can lower crab traps.

8. How many seats are in a thing chai? There are no seats.

9. Explain how safe a thing chai is? The thung chai is very safe because it doesn’t tip over.

Design Examples

We picked collage of images from the internet and we wrote about the.We wrote who are the target audience the positives things about it and the negative things about it.

Softball

Today room 10 had their second softball lesson it was so exciting. WE used the gloves to catch the ball we had to use both hands to catch it.We had to roll the ball to our partners and they had to catch it then they rolled to us and then we needed to catch it. The next activity we did was throwing the ball on the ground so it can bounce off and our partners can catch it.Then we had a competition to see who could go the furthest without dropping the ball. Nathaniel and Lisiate won.

Squash recount

On the first day of squash we learnt different skills and we also learnt how to hold the racket properly.We had different stations to work at. All the stations were different.

On the second day we practised how to hit the ball we also tested our skills


On the third day we had mini competitions we got into 4 groups our coach put tape on the wall to mark out were we cold hit the ball.

Step 1: Using photo both take a picture of your self.

Step 2: Import your photo to photoshop

Step 3: You need to set up your layers in photo both by clicking new layer .

Step 4: Once ur picture is in photo shop use the pencil or paint brush to outline your photo

Step 5: Now it's time to decorate your work you can use different colors u can add anything to your picture.

Computer Technology

Today in Computer tech we used photo both to take a picture of our self and then we use photo shop to edit our photos. We used 3 layers. I still need to finish it off there is a little more editing what needs to be done

Our first softball lesson

Today we had our first softball lesson of the term. Our instructors name was sammy, she is from sport auckland. We had a warm up game, when she said green light we could run, when she said yellow light we had to slow down and when she said red light we had to stop. We got into pairs and got a ball for each pair. We had to face our partner and roll the ball to each other. We then had to roll the ball to the side and see if our partner could catch it in time. The next activity we did was throwing the ball to each other.We had fun I can’t wait till the next session!

My holiday

Yay,it’s the holidays. On saturday the 20th of july we had a birthday party for my brother who turned  11.We went and picked up my mum from her work.We then went to kfc to get some dinner.

After that we went to go see the matariki lights in Glen Innes.The lights were amazing there were all sorts of them and they all had different colours.There were heaps of people in Glen Innes looking at the lights.

We walked home and  watched tv when we were watching tv we heard fireworks.We looked outside it sounded like a massive explosion.We saw different kinds of fireworks.They were different colors. 

The next day my nana came over to my house for a visit it was cool because I haven't seen her in along time.
