What am I?

I am one of the pillars you need me to survive.
I am invisible, I have weight.

I cause terrible storms around the world.
I take up a lot of space around the world.
I make feathers float.
I can be dangerous.
You know I'm around you but you can only feel what am I.

Can you figure out what I am ?
