On monday 26 May I stayed at home because I had a headache.

I felt dizzy because I had  a headache.When I got to the doctors he said that I have to drink more water.The doctor gave me some antibiotics and said to drink 8 cups of water a day.He said I was not drinking enough water.

I felt better as the day was ending.The medicine made me feel better.After that I played black ops 2 for the rest of the afternoon because I had nothing else to do.

Alan Duffs visit to Glenbrae School

Today Mr.Alan Duff came to visit us in our class room.Mr Duff showed the class the book he has created. He told us that he wrote once  were warriors and other various things. Alan Duff is a famous writer. He gave students the opportunity to ask questions.He also asked a question. His question to us was what are dreams were.

Fireworks

Wow!! It’s Guy Fawkes I can’t wait. My mum brought a Bad Boy box,Cold Fire box and a Spark It Up box. It was awesome I couldn't wait any longer so I asked my dad to light some.Finally,

it was dark. I grabbed a massive roman candle. My dad stuck it in the ground and let it blow up into the sky. It was so cool.

The Giant weta

The New Zealand Giant Weta

Some of the New Zealand giant wetas live in Waikato, New Zealand.

Wetas have big strong legs to protect them from predators. They also have spikes on their legs.
Species:
Did you know there are 11 different species of wetas?
Wetas can grow up to 10 centimeters long.
Predators:
One of the main threats for the New Zealand giant weta is fire because if it burns down the gorse flowers they will have nothing to eat and it can burn down the Wetas’ habitat. A rat is a predator to the giant Weta because it can’t defend itself because a rat is bigger then the giant weta. Dogs, wild animals and wild cats are predators to the wetas.
Diet:
The giant weta likes to eat gorse flowers.
Behaviour:
The Giant Weta is non-aggressive.
Conclusion
The Giant Weta is the most interesting weta because it is very big.It was interesting studying about the giant weta.

Auckland Zoo

On Thursday 1st of September Glenbrae school students, staff and parents went to Auckland Zoo to study about animals. Kato, Austin, June and I were in the same group. Kato’s mum was supervising us as we went around the zoo.

First we went to see the zebras, emus and giraffes. Well, I was scared of the giraffes because I thought the giraffe was going to lift me up with it’s mouth, Luckily it never happened.

When we moved to see the emu I was thinking, "That's not an emu, its a Moa."
I was wrong I just remembered moa is extinct. After that we went to see the rhinos. On the way there I saw chickens and roosters. It was funny because when I was walking a rooster just jumped out of the bush and I got a fright.

When we walked past the lions I saw a male lion sleeping behind the tree.

While the group was looking at the flamingos I was having a rest. I was so tired I nearly fell asleep.  Once I saw them moving to see the elephants. I ran as fast as I can and caught up to them.

Room 8

Today in room 8 we are learning about animals. We had to write down animals that don't come out of their skin and animals that do come out of their skin. Tomorrow Glenbrae school is going to the zoo it will be exciting.

My awsome weekend

On the weekend, I slept over at my friend Jerome's house.
On Saturday afternoon, Jerome's aunty took us to Sylvia Park to buy to buy an xbox360 wireless adapter. Sadly though,EB games, JB hi fi and Dick Smith didn't have wireless adapters in stock.

Jerome and I went to Toy World and brought two submarines, one for me and one for him. The submarines we bought were battery operated.

The seven stars of Matariki myth

Hooray! Today I'll go hunting for the seven ice-creams of Matariki so we can celebrate the Maori New year. So we better get going to town to find the seven ice-cream so of Matariki
Alex started searching town until Alex saw the first ice-cream of Matariki.
It was on the top of the Sky tower.Alex started climbing up the Sky tower .It was a very long way up.Finally Alex reached the top of the Sky tower I reached out and grabbed the first ice-cream of Matariki. Alex gently put the ice-cream in the freezer. Alex saw his friend Jerome making a cake delivery to James house for his birthday party.

Suddenly the seven Shape shifters snatched the first ice-cream of Matariki from
the freezer.Alex needed help. Alex rang up his friend Jerome and asked” I need your help, the seven shape shifters have the first ice-cream of Matariki”. Jerome and Alex found the shape shifters base the stole the Ice cream from their freezer. Alex and Jerome needed to keep low or they will set spotted by the shape shifters. We jumped in to our waka and slided down a deep dark hill. Alex and Jerome saw the six stars of Matariki. One of the stars name was Matariki she was the biggest star of matariki. They gently put the six stars in the freezer.

Tane Mahuta united the seven stars of Matariki in the dark but beautiful night sky.
Tane Mahuta chucked the stars in the sky. When you look at the sky you might see the seven stars of Matariki.

A goblin's tale

Today on 2nd of June Glenbrae students, teachers and parents came to the hall to watch a show called "A Goblin's Tale".
It was a funny show because the Princess said the Goblin smelled like poo! 
The Goblin got stuck in glue with the Princess and the Prince. The Prince made a rope out of a hankie and they pulled eachother out of the glue.  The Prince and Goblin started dancing and singing, it was funny.  The Princess turned into a superhero and the Prince turned a magician and the Goblin turned into a Knight.

What am I?

I am one of the pillars you need me to survive.
I am invisible, I have weight.

I cause terrible storms around the world.
I take up a lot of space around the world.

I can be dangerous.
